The Texas Rangers starting pitchers will be Derek Holland, Cole Hamels and A.J. Griffin against the Houston Astros in the three game series that starts in Arlington on Tuesday.

The rainout of today's game has forced some shifting in the schedule, with the result being that Holland, today's scheduled starter, will go on Tuesday instead.  Hamels, who was slated to start on Tuesday, goes Wednesday instead, and Griffin with finish up the series.

With today's runout being followed by the scheduled off day on Monday, the end result is that every pitcher except Hamels will have two extra days rest when they next pitch.  Hamels will be pitching on one extra day of rest.

i had speculated that, with the Rangers being able to structure their rotation so they would need a fifth starter just once between now and May 3, Griffin might be sent down now, with Nick Martinez getting the sport start on Saturday.  However, it appears Griffin will be staying up.
