Video: Nomar Mazara's great catch stole a home run from Todd Frazier today, giving the Texas Rangers life when it looked like the Chicago White Sox were going to walk it off.
Mazara is not known for his great glovework, but has been surprisingly good so far this season after being promoted to the major leagues. With two outs in the 9th inning, Frazier, who had already homered once off of Rangers reliever Sam Dyson earlier in the game, hit a deep fly ball to right field off of Tom Wilhelmsen. It seemed like the game was going to be over...but Mazara tracked the ball, got back to the wall, and made an outstanding leaping catch to keep the ball in the park.
The Rangers still ended up losing today in 11 innings, but at least Mazara provided an incredible highlight, and gave Texas the chance to stay in the game a couple more innings.
