Sure, wins are a meaningless stat, but don't tell Martin Perez that.

Evan Grant has some takeaways from last night's game including "what's the deal with Elvis Andrus" and ARod's 100th BPIA homer.

Can you feel the footsteps?  I feel the footsteps.

Elvis Andrus was the hero last night, haters.

Actually, while you're sipping your lime and cucumber Hatorade maybe you should just stop to consider that Elvis has been a hero all month.

Cole Hamels and Yu Darvish should be making rehab starts on Sunday

Jeff Banister rates Hanser Alberto as a smidge better than mediocre first baseman.  Defensively, anyway.

Finally, Netflix is airing a new adaptation of Watership Down.  I enjoyed the book immensely as a child... it's like Lord of the Rings with rabbits.  Well, at the end of their adventure, they realize that they're all bucks and there are no does, so they have to go looking cruising for chickies, so I suppose it's like Lord of the Rings with rabbits plus a little bit of American Pie.  Anyway, it's a pretty good adaptation and better than the other one I've seen that looks like it was animated by stoned hippies.
