13-10 - Baseball dad Colby Lewis tells Angels to go pick a switch

The Rangers get big hits from the left-handed batters and beat the Angels 4-2

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

This wasn't a match-up that favored the Rangers. Colby Lewis has had a nightmare of a time against the Angels at The Ballpark over the last few years. In fact, Colby was 0-4 with 12.73 ERA past two seasons when facing Anaheim in Arlington.

We know Colby is due for a handful of disaster starts each year and they have often come against the Angels. Last season Colby allowed 23 runs to the Angels in 20 2/3 innings. In 2014, Colby had a start where he allowed 13 Angel runs in 2 1/3 innings at The Ballpark.

On the other hand, Hector Santiago was 5-0 in his career at The Ballpark and the Rangers had had their troubles hitting him in his career with the Angels.

So, of course, the Rangers win 4-2 with Colby going seven innings and allowing just two runs. The Rangers have followed their four game slide with a three game win streak.

Player of the Game: Prince Fielder collected the 1,000th RBI of his career which tied the game in the 6th and then scored the go-ahead run from first on an Ian Desmond double.

Up Next: The Rangers and Angels go at it again with Derek Holland making the start against RHP Matt Shoemaker of Anaheim. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
