14-10 - Rangers beat the holy heck out of Halos

A four game winning streak and a series win secured against the Angels sounds good to me

Jim Cowsert-USA TODAY Sports

They did it again. The Texas Rangers put together another big inning. Texas scored six runs in the bottom of the 3rd to . The big inning was the Rangers' sixth inning of five or more runs in one inning of the year. The next best team in baseball are the Baltimore Orioles with three innings of five runs or more.

Another common occurrence this year happened again as every member of the Rangers lineup had at least one hit. There's something about this team that would make you believe that hitting is contagious. The big hit came off Mitch Moreland's bat as he emptied the bases with a long three-run dong to the concourse in right to turn a 4-0 game into a 7-0 game which more or less crush the spirits of the Anaheims.

Derek Holland pitched well without a strikeout pitch tonight as he went six innings on 90 pitches and kept the Angels off the board. Though Holland only struck out one, he also didn't allow a walk as he picked up the win. The only blemish for the Rangers came in the 9th as Phil Klein allowed a couple of runs.

The Rangers are now 10-4 at home this season as they secured a series win over the Angels. With the win, the Rangers finish the month of April 14-10 and on a four game winning streak.

Player of the Game: Rougned Odor was the leader with the bat tonight -- and was crafty on the bases -- as he hit leadoff and collected three doubles while scoring twice.

Up Next: The Rangers and Angels finish their series as the Rangers close their homestand looking to sweep Anaheim. Cole Hamels is scheduled to pitch for Texas with the Angels countering with RHP Garrett Richards. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 pm CT.
