The Rangers bullpen is going to be so good, you guys

Remember when we said the Rangers' bullpen was going to be good? Whoops. By my count, the bullpen has allowed 47 runs in the first three games of the season.

I wrote a whole bunch about how Colby Lewis tossed the platonic ideal Colby Lewis start today but alas it is all lost to the aether of another bullpen meltdown.

With the series loss, the Rangers still haven't won a series in April since sweeping the A's in Oakland April 21-23 in 2014.

Up next, the Rangers travel to Anaheim for their first road series of 2016 against the hated Angels. Derek Holland will make his 2016 debut against LHP Hector Santiago. First pitch is scheduled for 9:05 pm CT.

Player of the Game: After a couple of miserable games, Prince Fielder hit the first and only Rangers home run of the 2016 season to the upper deck in right field. The Mariners, however, hit nine home runs in this series.
