Friday a.m. Rangers stuff

Friday morning Rangers news and links

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, folks...

After a rehab appearance yesterday, Yu Darvish says he's just needing to improve his arm strength and work on his secondaries before returning to the majors.

T.R. Sullivan writes that Yu was aiming for "nice and easy" yesterday, with his fastball sitting at 94-95 mph rather than getting to 97-98.

Evan Grant says Yu will need to be more efficient with his pitches when he returns, as the Rangers will likely want to limit his pitch counts.

Jeff Wilson writes about Joey Gallo, who has stuff to say about Nomar Mazara and his own second time around in AAA this year.

Gallo said, when he learned that Mazara was being called up, that Nomar wouldn't be back in the minors.

Jurickson Profar understands he might have to get traded to make it back to the majors.

Sullivan has a story on Gallo and Profar, and their plugging away to get back to the big leagues.

Anthony Ranaudo was traded to the Chicago White Sox yesterday.

Gerry Fraley has a story on Ian Desmond adapting well to the outfield, and possibly taking over as the starting center fielder.

Kevin Sherrington has a piece on Rangers minor league reliever Matt Bush.

The Rangers have some charitable events they are involved in coming up.

The DMN has a story about Rangers players and their dogs.
