Texas Rangers rumors: Rougned Odor appeal to be Tuesday

Jon Morosi tweets that sources tell him Rougned Odor's appeal will be heard Tuesday

Texas Rangers rumors: Rougned Odor's appeal will be heard on Tuesday, accessing to Jon Morosi, citing sources within MLB.  Odor, the Texas Rangers second baseman, is appealing an eight game suspension which was levied by MLB for his participation in a brawl between the Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays, which featured Odor connecting on a solid right to the jaw of Jose Bautista.

Odor is hoping for the suspension to be reduced, and assuming a ruling is issued Tuesday, Odor will miss the final two games of the Angels series at home, the weekend three game series at home against the Pirates, and then three games in Cleveland (if the suspension isn't reduced).  Jurickson Profar is expected to be called up to play second base in Odor's absence, with Shin-Soo Choo to the d.l. looking like the most likely move to clear a 25 man roster spot for Profar to be added.
