Yu Darvish threw six scoreless innings in what should be his final rehab outing

Yu Darvish news: Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish threw six scoreless innings today for the Frisco RoughRiders in what is expected to be Darvish's final rehab start prior to returning to the major leagues.

Darvish, who is currently on the disabled list, threw 87 pitches (56 strikes) over 6 innings, striking out six, walking one, and allowing three hits.  Darvish said after the game that he feels ready to face major league hitters, and he is currently slated to pitch Saturday night for the Rangers in Arlington against the Pittsburgh Pirates,

Darvish has been working his way back from March, 2015, Tommy John surgery, and will pair up with Cole Hamels to give the Rangers one of the most formidable 1-2 punches at the top of a rotation in the majors.  Cesar Ramos, who has made a couple of spot starts the past week-plus, is expected to move into a long relief role while Darvish takes that spot in the rotation.
