Video: Lewis Brinson home run. Outfielder Lewis Brinson, one of the Texas Rangers' top prospects, went 1 for 2 with a walk and a stolen base for the Frisco RoughRiders, with the hit being a majestic home run to left field.
Brinson, who turns 22 today, boosted his slash line for Frisco this season to .276/.319/.506, with just 13 Ks in 95 plate appearances. A true center fielder, Brinson could see a promotion to AAA Round Rock before too long, and is a candidate to come up to Texas when rosters expand in September, given that he will need to be added to the 40 man roster this offseason anyway.
