Video: Ronald Guzman home run. Frisco first baseman Ronald Guzman has gotten off to a hot start in his debut at AA, and continued that yesterday with a 2 for 3 night that included a home run to right field, which you can see below.
Guzman, 21, has come up big in what had been seen as a critical year for him...one of the big J-2 signees from 2011, he had been surpassed by fellow bonus baby Nomar Mazara, and there were extensive questions as to whether the hit tool that had him considered one of the top prospects in that class would ever show results.
With a .361/.426/.598 slash line this season, Guzman is rewarding the Rangers' patience.
