The Rangers are 18-11 this season against everyone other than the White Sox. The Rangers are now 0-4 in extra inning games and are still without a walk-off win.
I wrote a bunch of words about this game but then the narrative changed like 17 times in the span of 45 minutes and all I'm left with is the Rangers can't beat the White Sox and I'm glad Colby Lewis wasn't pinned with the loss after he gave the Rangers seven strong innings with porous defense behind him.
But, hey, the Stars won!
Player of the Game: Rougned Odor homered and tripled from the leadoff spot again as he scored two Rangers runs and continues to look like the best thing going at the plate for Texas this year. Honorary nods to Ian Desmond and Hanser Alberto for each plating the tying runs in the 8th and 9th innings respectively to keep Texas in it long enough for Todd Frazier to ruin our night.
Up Next: The Rangers and White Sox continue their series with Texas sending Derek Holland to the mound against LHP Carlos Rodon on Chicago. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
