Yu Darvish scratched: Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish has been scratched from his scheduled start on Monday due to tightness in his neck and shoulder. Darvish was pulled from his start on Wednesday after five innings due to neck and shoulder soreness, and while all seemed fine yesterday, Darvish’s bullpen session today was halted after just four pitches.

Darvish is going to return to D/FW for an MRI on Monday, and the Rangers have not indicated who will be getting the start in his place, although Cesar Ramos would seem to be the obvious choice. Only this morning all indications were that Darvish would make his start with no issue...unfortunately, that’s not going to be the case. Presumably, we will learn on Monday whether Darvish will be returning to the disabled list, or whether he will be able to make a start later next week. Let’s cross our fingers it is the latter.
