Texas Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis left tonight's start after five innings due to cramping in his right triceps, according to the beat guys on Twitter. Reports indicate he will be re-evaluated tomorrow.
This could be nothing, or it could be something. Hopefully it is nothing...after giving up six runs in five innings, I just assumed he was pulled because he was giving up runs, but that apparently wasn't the case.
A.J. Griffin is most likely going to return to the rotation on Friday, and Lewis's spot in the rotation wouldn't come up again until Monday...however, with Yu Darvish on the disabled list, Griffin's return just gets the Rangers back to five regular starters. If Lewis can't go and Darvish isn't ready to return, it seems likely either Nick Martinez or Cesar Ramos would fill in.
