Yu Darvish injury: The Rangers ace just recently returned after missing the 2015 season and now Yu Darvish has exited tonight's game with shoulder stiffness.
Darvish threw 76 pitches in third start since Tommy John surgery and was on a 95 pitch limit for tonight's game. With the score 1-1 in the top of the fifth, Darvish struck out George Springer on a 63-MPH curveball and was seen shaking his right arm. Darvish then walked Jose Altuve and was met on the mound by pitching coach Doug Brocail and trainer Kevin Harmon.
Darvish stayed in the game and completed the inning but was lifted for Shawn Tolleson to begin the sixth inning. Reports from the beats say Darvish was removed as a precaution and that no issues were found after an exam by Dr. Keith Meister.
Let's all hold our breath, cross our fingers, light a pray candle, and make a blood pact that Darvish is truly alright.
