36-23 - Rangers lose game, ace, hall of famer, my will to live

;_;

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The many streaks are over for the Rangers. The current win streak. The home win streak over the Astros. The unbeaten in 2016 streak against the Astros. The streak of feeling good about everything is also toast because everything feels bad now. What's important right now is Yu Darvish's right shoulder and Adrian Beltre's left leg.

Darvish exited in a 1-1 game after shaking his right arm and complaining of tightness in his shoulder. That's different than his surgically repaired elbow, but it's heartstopping nonetheless. He did stay in the game and complete the 5th innings. He did smile when talking to the trainer. The Rangers did say it was just precautionary. All we can do now is hold our breath.

The Rangers also lost Adrian Beltre in the bottom of the 8th when he left the game holding his left leg right around where his delicate hamstrings exist.

The Rangers lost and Jurickson Profar wasn't in the lineup. Was it a coincidence? Yeah, probably.

The Rangers lost in part because they have four relievers who can be counted on to give them a scoreless inning and one of them wasn't available tonight and there was four innings remaining after Darvish left. You do the math.

Player of the Game: Dr. Keith Meister, hopefully. ;_;

Up Next: The Rangers try to finish off a series win and get another win streak against the Astros going with Martin Perez on the mound against RHP Collin McHugh. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 pm CT.
