Friday morning Rangers news and links

Good morning, folks...

T.R. Sullivan writes that, as the second half is about to start, the Rangers view themselves as striving to win the World Series.

Jeff Wilson writes that this Rangers/Cubs series starting today could be a World Series preview.  Gerry Fraley says the players are downplaying that notion, however.

Nick Martinez could come back up on Tuesday, as Kyle Lohse may not be able to make his next start.

Fraley says the Rangers need to go out and trade for two starting pitchers this month, even if it means parting with Joey Gallo or Luis Ortiz.  Acquiring two starting pitchers seems...excessive, to me, but what do I know?

The S-T's notes talk about Rougned Odor turning down a contract extension, Keone Kela, Yu Darvish, and Ian Desmond.
