Baseball Prospectus has released their midseason top 50 prospect list, and four Texas Rangers make the cut.
Joey Gallo is the top ranked Ranger prospect, at #12, while Lewis Brinson, despite his slow start to 2016, is still highly ranked, checking in at #22.
Behind those two are a pair of Ranger pitching prospects at the back of the list, with Yohander Mendez being a surprise entry at #47, while Luis Ortiz is at #48.
Former Rangers prospects also have an impressive showing in the rankings...Nick Williams, Jake Thompson and Jorge Alfaro, who were part of the deal that brought Cole Hamels to Texas, all are in the top 50 for BP.
