Baseball America Midseason Top 100 Prospect List: The Texas Rangers have three minor leaguers who have cracked the Baseball America top 100 prosepect list, which was just released today.
Joey Gallo is still the high Ranger prospect, checking in at #11 on the list. Lewis Brinson is at #30, despite his injury issues this season, and Luis Ortiz, the 2014 first rounder who is already in AA, is slotted at #74.
The one notable -- though not surprising -- omission is Dillon Tate, the #4 pick in the draft last year who has struggled mightily in the Sally League this year, while reports on his stuff have been less than encouraging.
Among other A.L. West teams, the Astros placed five players in the top 100. Oakland has just one player, Franklin Barreto, on the list, while Seattle has just Tyler O'Neill in the top 100.
