Jonathan Lucroy to Texas Rangers happening, per Rosenthal

Ken Rosenthal tweets that Jonathan Lucroy to the Rangers "is happening"

The Jonathan Lucroy to the Texas Rangers is happening, per Ken Rosenthal on Twitter.  Lucroy, the Milwaukee Brewers catcher who was traded to the Cleveland Indians, only to invoke his no-trade clause to veto the deal, is under team control for cheap through the 2017 season, and would give the Rangers one of the best catching tandems in the league with Robinson Chirinos as his backup.

Lewis Brinson and Luis Ortiz are going to Milwaukee in the deal, with the Rangers also getting a reliever, according to T.R. Sullivan.

I'm really glad Gallo isn't going, but also hate giving up Brinson and Ortiz, Brinson in particular, who has been a personal favorite of mine.

More on this as information becomes available...

UPDATE -- The deal is apparently Lucroy and Jeremy Jeffress for Brinson and Ortiz.  Steep price, but you got a really good catcher and a solid relief arm, and didn't give up Jurickson Profar or Joey Gallo.
