This was a strange baseball game. The Tigers had hundreds of baserunners every inning and somehow only scored twice as the Rangers were within a swing of the bat from tying the game several times despite managing just three hits.
Regardless, the Rangers never got that big hit and fell to a stingy Matt Boyd and the Tigers 2-0.
Handball play of the game:
Player of the Game: I mean, Cole Hamels gave up (checks notes) 723 hits in this game but he's still arguably the player of the game simply because the offense did a whole lot of nothing and there's actually something really impressive about allowing just two runs while giving up 14 hits over seven innings.
Up Next: The Rangers and Tigers play the rubber game of this series with A.J. Griffin making the start for Texas against RHP Michael Fulmer of Detroit. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 pm CT.
