National League baseball is noted for being a spectacular form of entertainment where things like Yu Darvish hitting a bomb to centerfield can only happen. Thank you, National League baseball.
This was a weird, dumb game, but the Rangers figured out how to make sure they won it by one run because that's just how they do.
Here, watch this instead of thinking about this one too much:
Yu Darvish absolutely demolishes this baseball. https://t.co/ET5sooJBAa #PitchersWhoRakehttps://t.co/0wLx3zAwv1

Also, the Mariners and Indians lost today so the Rangers are back to a 6 1/2 game lead in the AL West and the best record in the American League.
Player of the Game: I mean, Adrian Beltre's 2,900th career hit drove in the winning run, Nomar Mazara hit a three-run dinger, and Ian Desmond hit his first extra base hit in weeks, but Yu Darvish hit a damn home run.
Up Next: The Rangers come back home to face the other team from Ohio as the two best teams in the American League battle in a four-game set. Cole Hamels gets the start in the opener against RHP Josh Tomlin of Cleveland. First pitch from Arlington is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
