Jeremy Jeffress arrested: Texas Rangers pitcher Jeremy Jeffress was booked into Dallas County jail at 5:13 this morning, August 26, 2016, according to a report from 105.3 The Fan.
No other details are available at this time. Jeffress, a relief pitcher, was acquired by the Texas Rangers from the Milwaukee Brewers as part of the July 31 trade that also brought Jonathan Lucroy to Texas.
Jeffress had two suspensions as a minor leaguer for testing positive for marijuana, which he reportedly used to self-medicate for his epilepsy.
UPDATE -- The Dallas Police Department says Jeffress was arrested this morning for a DWI. We shall have to wait and see what disciplinary action, if any, the Rangers choose to take in this regard.

UPDATE IV -- Per the Dallas Morning News, Jeffress was pulled over at 2:30 in the morning at Uptown, after leaving a nightclub called "Sisu." From the story, detailing what was in the police report about his actions after being pulled over: "He also urinated on himself."
