Asked about the Rangers new lineup Adrian Beltre channeled Winston Wolf, saying "let's not start skulking our clocks just yet, gentlemen."

Evan Grant has three takeaways from last night's game and all of them are variations of "yep, Adrian Beltre is right about the clock skulking."

Well, it looks like the Rangers are counting on Colby and Holland to shore up the rotation when healthy though, let's face it, Colby is cobbled together from DFA'd swingmen and "healthy" is not Holland's default state.

Shin Soo Choo is at some point I don't care about in his rehab process.

Yu Darvish credits new catcher Jonathan Lucroy with the strategy that resulted in 9 strikeouts last night.  He credits evil black magic, possibly originating from A.J. Griffin, for the three gophers.

Yeah, Darvish gave up three homers but, hey, he'd have to have shut them out.

A shut out, but look at the bright side: Adrian Beltre says this is the best lineup there is.

A good catcher.  We haven't had one of those in a while.
