Thoughts on a 5-0 Rangers loss

• That was no fun.
• I’m not sure there’s much to say about that game. Martin Perez had that one bad inning that has seemed to haunt him all season, giving up 4 runs in the third inning. He gave up 1 run in his other 6 innings of work, but that 4 spot alone made it a bad night.
• The bats, meanwhile, seemed to be ready to do damage in the first inning, when three of the first four batters reached on a single, a double and a walk. Unfortunately, for the rest of the game, the Rangers got one more walk and one more hit.
• Just not a good game. Alas.
• On the plus side, still 5.5 games up in the West, right?
