Texas Rangers right fielder Carlos Beltran was lifted from tonight's game due to a "quad contusion," according to the Rangers.
Beltran was replaced by Delino DeShields in the bottom of the seventh inning. Beltran was the third out in the top of the seventh, when he was tagged out unsuccessfully trying to score from first on a Rougned Odor double. Beltran appeared to suffer the injury on that play.
The initial reports are that the issue is supposed to be minor, though I suspect we will see Beltran out of the lineup tomorrow in the series finale against the Astros.
