The High Desert Mavericks made the Cal League playoffs and had a pretty good year record-wise, finishing with an 82-58 record.  Texas saw solid development from several hitters at High Desert, most notably Josh Morgan and Jairo Beras.  Morgan saw his OPS go up every month after a slow start to the season, culminating in a .330/.388/.422 slash line from June 1 through the end of the season, while Beras put up a .321/.359/.707 slash line from July 17 through the end of the season.
