2017 Texas Rangers schedule:  The MLB schedule for 2017 has been released, and the Texas Rangers are opening at home against the Cleveland Indians on Monday, April 3, 2017.  You can check out the full schedule here.

Texas has a six game home stand to start the year, facing Cleveland and Oakland, then has a nine game road trip against the West Coast A.L. West teams before returning home for 10 games to end the month.

The schedule appears more balanced than this years, with no ridiculously long stretches without home games (as there was during July this year), and not extremely favorable stretches with mostly home games, like there is at the end of this season (after today, the Rangers had just three more road games).  Overall, I think that's a good thing.

Texas does have two road trips late in 2017 that could be particularly meaningful, as they play 10 games against the Angels, A's and Astros to end August, and then have a 9 game road trip starting September 15 where they play the Angels, M's and A's.
