Wednesday morning Rangers things

Good morning, folks. Apparently, I’m doing the links today, since they aren’t up yet, haven’t been started, and Ben isn’t responding to my texts or phone calls.

The Rangers announced their awards winners yesterday, which include Matt Harrison getting the team’s alumni award.

Jose Trevino, Ronald Guzman, John Fasola and Yohander Mendez also were named award winners.

C.J. Nitkowski and Billy Ripken both believe that Pudge Rodriguez deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Spring training workout dates have been announced, with the Rangers having pitchers and catchers reporting on February 15.

And Bob Beaton, who was the Rangers’ press box attendant from 1988-2014, passed away last month at the age of 86.
