Former major league pitcher C.J. Nitkowski is joining the Texas Rangers’ broadcast team for 2017, it has been announced.
Nitkowski, who pitched for the Rangers in 2002 and 2003, and who spent 10 years in the majors between 1995 and 2005, will be doing 100 games for the Rangers, according to Jeff Wilson, with Dave Raymond being the play-by-play guy. Wilson says Tom Grieve and Emily Jones will also be back -- Grieve will, presumably, have a part-time analyst role, while Jones will, I assume, continue to do in-game pieces and pre- and post-game interviews.
