Adrian Beltre ranked fifth among 3B by Olney

Buster Olney's third base rankings have Adrian Beltre ranked #5 in the majors

Buster Olney is doing a series ranking the top players in the majors at each position, and today, he looks at the top third basemen in the game.

Adrian Beltre is #5 on Olney's rankings, trailing Kris Bryant, Manny Machado, Nolan Arenado and Josh Donaldson.  Evan Longoria is next on the list, and then Kyle Seager.

Its kind of remarkable to think that Beltre, entering his 20th year in the majors, could be one of the five best third basemen in baseball, but Beltre is pretty remarkable.  He's currently first among active players in games played and plate appearances, and second in career bWAR.  Barring major injury, in 2017, he will become the 31st major leaguer to register 3000 hits, the 17th to get 600 career doubles, and the 38th to get to 450 career home runs.  We are lucky, as Rangers fans, to get to have Adrian Beltre on our team...

Anyway, I've got a poll for you to vote on, as far as his place on Olney's list goes...
