Good morning, folks...Ben has fallen off the face of the earth and isn’t responding to my calls and texts, so I guess I’m doing the links this morning.

There’s an intrasquad game on Friday and the spring opener on Saturday. Actual games, y’all!

Jeff Wilson writes that the Rangers have several options to hit leadoff this year, and also offers up his “Surprise Five” from yesterday. Wilson says that there are five roster spots open right now on the Opening Day roster, although that assumes than Ryan Rua and Keone Kela are on the bubble, rather than safe.

T.R. Sullivan says that, with the two anticipated Opening Day catchers leaving camp soon to play in the WBC, the Rangers’ catching depth will get chances to show what they can do.

Martin Perez will be pitching for Venezuela in the WBC, which Evan Grant thinks is a good thing for his development.

Peter Ellwood says we should be thankful we get to watch Yu Darvish pitch.

If the Indians hadn’t signed Edwin Encarnacion, Mike Napoli might not be a Ranger right now.

Phil Rogers says that the A.L. West is up for grabs in 2017.

The Rangers’ motivation slogan this year was inspired by Socrates.

Rob Manfred is mad at the MLBPA.

Chi Chi Gonzalez got engaged on Valentine’s Day.
