Andrew Cashner to start Saturday

The Rangrs have officially announced that Andrew Cashner will start tomorrow

The Texas Rangers have announced that Andrew Cashner will be activated from the disabled list tomorrow and will start against the Seattle Mariners. Cashner, signed to a one year deal this offseason, was expected to be in the rotation to start the season, but biceps tendinitis slowed his progress this spring and landed him on the disabled list when the season began.

The Rangers have been able to use a four man rotation so far this season, with April 15 being the first time a fifth starter will be needed. Texas will likely option Nick Martinez to make room for Cashner on the 25 man roster, though Dario Alvarez is also a candidate to be sent down.
