Texas Rangers center fielder Carlos Gomez left today’s game after scoring the tying run of the game in the bottom of the 7th. Gomez has a strained right hamstring, per John Blake, and is supposed to get an MRI tomorrow.
I suspect Gomez will be placed on the 10 day disabled list tomorrow, especially given that Shin-Soo Choo is out of today’s game with a sore back. Texas can't be any more short-handed with their already small bench. Either Drew Robinson or Jared Hoying (or perhaps both) will likely be on the active roster tomorrow, I have to think. Bringing Hoying up would necessitate a 40 man roster move.
