24-23 - No refunds: Rangers come undone in 9-4 loss

Yeah, well, Chris Sale didn't strike out more than ten so there!

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The Rangers were up 3-1 against the Red Sox and Chris Sale and Joey Gallo had not struck out even once and Mike Napoli extended his home run lead over Edwin Encarnacion and Martin Perez was cruising along and Sale was four strikeouts short of history even though the Rangers struck out nine times to career reliever J.C. Ramirez just a few weeks ago and then the seventh inning started and Perez was still in the game even though he was at over 100 pitches and 2017 Sam Dyson came in and seven Red Sox runs later it was April again.

Player of the Game: Winamp.

Up Next: Nick Martinez needs to go a whole bunch of innings in the finale tomorrow because the bullpen is down to basically Keone Kela and then Matt Bush handcuffed to the ninth inning when the Rangers make it there with a lead. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 pm CT.
