Good morning, folks...
The Rangers beat the Nationals, 6-3, yesterday.
Levi Weaver has his game story from yesterday’s win.
Jeff Wilson has his “Ranger Reaction” from the victory.
Evan Grant has his “Instant Replay”, and says that Robinson Chirinos is an important leader in the Rangers’ clubhouse.
Adrian Beltre returned to the lineup on Saturday.
Tyson Ross was hit hard in a rehab start on Friday, and Jeff Banister doesn’t know if he will make his next start in the majors.
Cole Hamels and A.J. Griffin are making progress as they work their way back from injuries.
Mac Engel says the Rangers should stay away from Shohei Otani, and in the process, craps on Adrian Beltre and the decision to extend him. The argument against Otani, however, is about how Japanese imports are never worth the cost (and yes, he’s including Yu Darvish as not worth it)...given that the new rules limit what can be spent on Otani, that issue seems to be moot.
Evan Grant has a story on how the Rangers handle the draft.
The Rangers’ website has notes on Tyson Ross, A.J. Griffin, Cole Hamels, Carlos Gomez and Adrian Beltre.
