I guess you could look at today's loss in one of two ways. One, it sucked watching the Rangers plod through a loss basically before lunch. Or two, at least we don't have to watch them plod through a loss tonight! Texas got all its plodding out of the way early giving us ample time for a quiet sob and maybe a nap.
The Rangers were three-hit by Corey Kluber and have been thoroughly owned by the Cleveland Indians this season.
Player of the Game: Just about the lone highlight of this one was Nomar Mazara sending a ball into orbit to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead in the first inning. After that it was just eight innings and three hours we'll never get back.
Up Next: The Rangers finish up their road trip in Chicago with a series against the White Sox. Rookie sensation Austin Bibens-Dirkx will make the start in the opener from Guaranteed Rate Field opposite RHP Mike Pelfrey of Chicago. First pitch tomorrow night is scheduled for 7:10 pm CT.
