48-50 — The Rangers refuse to make things easy for anyone

Rangers 6, Rays 5

MLB: Texas Rangers at Tampa Bay Rays Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

So after a sweep in Baltimore that had Rangers fans acting like the Duke Brothers, clamoring to Sell! Sell! Sell!, Texas takes three straight one run games in Tampa to get back within 2.5 games of the Wild Card race, and complicate the decisions Jon Daniels has to make.

Another awful outing from Tyson Ross, but the bullpen, led but the redoubtable Tony Barnette, kept things close, setting the stage for a Rougned Odor two run game tying home run and a Carlos Gomez game winning solo shot.

And thus Texas heads back to Arlington for a series against the Marlins still in the Wild Card race.
