MLB Trade Rumors: The Los Angeles Dodgers and Yu Darvish, Texas Rangers pitcher, have been linked in trade rumors for days, and Jon Heyman says the Dodgers appear to be the favorites to land Darvish from the Rangers. Reports from earlier today indicated that the Dodgers, the New York Yankees, and a mystery team were main contenders that the Texas Rangers were talking to about a Darvish trade.

Heyman says that the Dodgers also want a lefthanded reliever to set up Kenley Jansen, and have been in talks regarding Justin Wilson and Zach Britton. One does have to wonder, though, if the Dodgers might have interest in Ranger lefty reliever Alex Claudio, should the Wilson and Britton prices be too high, allowing the Rangers to package Darvish and Claudio together in one deal.

Heyman says the Dodgers are adamant about not wanting to part with Alex Verdugo or Walker Buehler, and assuming that is the case, the Rangers would likely be targeting Willie Calhoun or Yadier Alvarez in trade talks with L.A.

And with a little more than 24 hours to go until the trade deadline, we will know one way or the other about Yu soon...
