Saturday morning Rangers news and links

Good morning, folks...

The Rangers stomped the Angels, 10-0, last night.

Levi Weaver has his game story from yesterday’s win.

Jeff Wilson has his “Rangers Reaction” from the blowout.

Jon Daniels doesn’t expect the Rangers to be sellers, barring something extraordinary.

Evan Grant identifies five players who carried the Rangers in the first half, and five players who the Rangers need more from in the first half. Evan also identifies the area the Rangers need to fix in the second half.

Yu Darvish won’t be pitching in Tuesday’s All Star Game, despite being named to the team. Yu will pitch tomorrow, then will pitch the Sunday after the All Star Game, with Martin Perez and Cole Hamels pitching the first two games post-break.

Kevin Sherrington wonders about the Rangers having Yu not pitch in the All Star Game, and whether they should be looking to move him.

Mac Engel says the Rangers relievers need to do their jobs. He also carps about the “bloated payroll” and says the Rangers need to sell. Mac seems very agitated about the Rangers’ payroll, for some reason.

The Rangers’ website notes talk about Rougned Odor, Joey Gallo, the rotation coming out of the break, Shin-Soo Choo, A.J. Griffin, and Keone Kela.

The DMN’s notes talk about Elvis Andrus, Choo, Gallo, and Bubba Thompson.
