Brett Nicholas gets his first start of the year

The Rangers play their second game post-Yu, and Brett Nicholas is behind the plate

Sigh. There’s no more Yu Darvish. The Rangers are pretty much done for 2017. And yet, there are two more months of games remaining, including a game tonight against Baltimore Seattle. (ed. note — I can’t remember who they are playing anymore).

Brett Nicholas, who is now the team’s backup catcher with Jonathan Lucroy being dealt, is getting the start behind the plate today.

The lineup:

Elvis — SS

Mazara — RF

Beltre — 3B

Odor — 2B

Napoli — 1B

Gallo — LF

Gomez -- CF

Nicholas -- C

Nick Martinez is on the mound for Texas tonight.
