Saturday morning Rangers news and links

Good morning, folks...

The Rangers fell to the ChiSox yesterday, 4-3.

Levi Weaver has his game story from yesterday’s loss.

Jeff Wilson has his “Rangers Reaction.”

Evan Grant has his “Instant Replay,” and says that the injury scare with Nomar Mazara could have made the loss much worse.

Wilson says Nomar Mazara and Rougned Odor are helping carry the offense right now.

The offense in general has been a strength in this recent hot streak.

Odor was mad that on his steal of home earlier this week the official ruling was that it was a balk.

Landon Haaf says, believe it or not, the Rangers are still in the playoff hunt.

Richard Justice says Texas has a path to the postseason, despite all the adversity they’ve dealt with this season.

Evan Grant says the Texas Rangers veterans still believe in their postseason chances, even without Yu Darvish.

Alex Claudio and Austin Bibens-Dirkx don’t throw hard, but have been key contributors out of the bullpen this year.

Claudio has had a very heavy workload this year.

Evan has a great piece on Willie Calhoun, how he got to where he is now, and how a trip to San Quentin was a turning point for him.

Mac Engel has a column where he appears to be bagging on the Rangers’ attendance, though I’m not really clear.

Jose Trevino has been a stabilizing influence on the Frisco players this year.

Levi has his Baseball Texas Daily notes, which includes a look at the teams the Rangers are chasing in the Wild Card race.
