Tuesday Morning Texas Rangers Update

Celebrating Pudge Rodriguez and Adrian Beltre’s immortality since July 30, 2017

MLB: Texas Rangers at Minnesota Twins Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning. Adrian Beltre has already hit 3,000. Yu Darvish is gone. The Rangers just lost a game they were winning 5-0 to the Twins. Yesterday was an off day. Football season is gearing up. So, yeah, news a little light for the Rangers today.

Ten years after joining the Rangers org, Elvis Andrus recalls to Sam Butler the trade that changed his life and changed how we view the shortstop position in Texas.

Evan Grant writes that Keone Kela has regained the trust of the org and might finally get a look as closer in the final two months.

Jeff Wilson writes that tonight’s starter Andrew Cashner bet on himself coming to Texas this season on a one-year pillow contract that looks like it’ll pay off this winter.

T.R. Sullivan previews tonight’s contest between the Rangers and Mets in New York with Cashner set to make the start against someone named Chris Flexen.

And, lastly, my favorite prospect Hans Crouse pitched two more scoreless innings in his seventh appearance as a professional. Crouse has struck out 17 in 13 innings, walked four, given up just six hits, and has a real nice ERA of 0.69.

Have a nice day!
