67-67, After 19 runs and 15 pitchers, Rangers Gut It Out, 10-9

Civilizations were created and destroyed during the span of this game.

Carlos Gomez scored when league MVP, Wild Pitch, got him home from third. This game lasted so long. I gave up all soft drinks in May and haven’t had any caffeine since then. So ready for sleep.

Anyway, Joey Gallo hit another home run because all that boy does is dong.

Jake Diekman made his return to the mound after off-season surgery for ulcerative colitis. He pitched well and retired all three he faced. It was a big moment and if you’ve ever known anyone with a bowel disease like UC or Crohn’s, you’ve seen how challenging recovering for every day life can be, much less pitching in the big leagues. I thought it was a pretty neat moment and by the way here’s a link to Jake’s Gut it Out shirts used to raise awareness for Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.

Also Elvis had a lot of RBI’s. Isn’t nice that Elvis is awesome and having the season we thought he would for like... 10 years? I’m not looking forward to Adam’s eventual moment standing outside Elvis’ house with a boombox after he opts out and signs with the Yankees.
