72-74 - Not with a bang... Rangers lose game, series to M’s

Inability to beat bad teams bites Rangers once again

MLB: Seattle Mariners at Texas Rangers Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

In the second half of this season the Rangers have gone 2-8 against inferior teams from Seattle and Oakland but hey they’ve gone 9-3 against Anaheim and Houston.

Texas split a series against Minnesota, a team currently in the Wild Card spot they’re chasing but they also split a series at home against the White Sox.

Texas swept the Rays in Tampa but lost a series to Miami at home where they allowed 30 runs in three games to the Marlins.

What a depressing way to go out. ...but a whimper, indeed.
