DeShields starts, Choo sits today

Jeff Banister continues to rotate his outfielders, with a Delino DeShields back in the lineup

MLB: Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

There was a certain amount of questioning of the decision to sit outfielder Delino DeShields yesterday, as Jeff Banister continues to work on finding playing time in three spots for his four outfielders. Today, with lefty Sean Manaea on the mound for Oakland, DeShields is back in the lineup, and Shin-Soo Choo gets the night off.

The lineup:

DeShields — LF

Mazara — RF

Elvis — SS

Beltre — DH

Gomez — CF

Gallo — 1B

Chirinos — C

Odor — 2B

Middlebrooks — 3B (Now Robinson at 3B)

Miguel Gonzalez pitches for Texas.

UPDATE — Manaea has been scratched, and righthander Raul Alcantara will start in his place, so we may have a different Ranger lineup coming.

UPDATE II — Drew Robinson is now at third base instead of Will Middlebrooks.
