Of course the freaking A’s ruin the Rangers’s season.
They’ve now been swept twice in a row by Oakland, each coming after a really good series win for the Rangers. It always seems to come after their odds of post season start to look better.
In August, the Rangers took three of four from the Angels before getting swept by the A’s. And now this week, Rangers once again came within 2.5 games of the wild card after sweeping the Mariners and then they fall apart against the cellar dwellers.
Good thing the Rangers end the season with four games against Oakland, huh?
At the beginning of the season I predicted the Rangers would only get 84 wins and at the time I felt ridiculous for thinking they were just a two-game above .500 team and now I’m questioning if they’ll even make it to .500 to end the season.
But here’s a gif from happier times this week.
