Week 22: Technically a good week but Beltre is injured so who cares?

A week of mixed emotions

(again, I missed last week, Rangers took 3 of 4 from the Angels and then got swept by the cellar dwellers so let’s all forget week 21 ok?)

Season record: 68-68

Week 22 Record: 4-2

Series Record: 19-19, 6 splits

Yes the Rangers technically had a good week but did they really? They’ll probably be without Beltre for the rest of the season so we should probably just cancel everything right? Or maybe he can just scare his hamstring into fixing itself in half the time. *fingers crossed*

The Rangers went to Tampa to play the Astros and took two games from them before dropping the series finale. The game in which Beltre was injured.

Texas closed out the week with a weekend series in Arlington against the Angels. Again taking two from them, this time dropping the middle game thanks to the bullpen.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS

Once again the Rangers are back to .500.

Elvis is two away from 20 home runs on the season.

Joey Gallo has now caught up to Aaron Judge with 37 homers.

Jake Diekman is finally back and in his two appearances he went an inning each with one strikeout each.

Martin Perez has a six start winning streak. In all those starts he’s gone at least six innings.
