Rangers series preview: Atlanta Braves

We have interleague baseball and pitchers hitting. Yay?

Rangers will head to Atlanta to play their final interleague series of the regular season.

The Braves are currently 60-75, 4-6 for their last 10.

Cashner will start against R.A. Dickey in Monday’s game. Cashner is 4-2 with a 2.92 ERA in his eight starts since the All Star break. Dickey is 3-2 with a 3.50 ERA in his last seven starts. His last start against the Phillies, he went eight innings and gave up just one run on seven hits.

Gomez is .500 against Dickey in 16 at-bats.

Miguel Gonzalez will make his Rangers debut on Tuesday. He’s never faced the Braves and is 7-10 with a 4.31 ERA on the season. Julio Teheran will make the start for the Braves, he’s 9-11 with a 4.75 ERA on the season. He’s faced the Rangers just once, in 2014. He got the loss after going eight innings and giving up three runs on three hits and a walk.

Hamels will pitch the series finale on Wednesday. He’s 16-9 with a 3.11 ERA in 35 career starts against the Braves. Braves starter is TBD.
