The Texas Rangers have agreed to one year contracts with Jake Diekman, Keone Kela and Jurickson Profar, the team announced today. These were the three remaining players who were arbitration-eligible, and thus the team has once again avoided arbitration with all its eligible players. That means that Lee Stevens, in 2000, is still the last Ranger to go to arbitration.

Profar reportedly is getting $1.05 million for 2018. Kela is reportedly getting $1.2 million for 2018. Diekman is reportedly getting $2,712,500. That’s basically what was projected by MLB Trade Rumors.

While Profar and Kela are under team control past 2018, Diekman is a free agent after the season, and it will be interesting to see if there are any discussions between Diekman and the club about an extension now that the 2018 number is hammered out.
